FAQ's

What is your TAT (turnaround time)?

Turnaround time (TAT) is defined as the amount of time between your order being placed, and the order leaving our office. Ready to ship items will ship in 7-10 business days unless combined with a pre-order item with a longer turnaround. Pre-order TAT varies but generally takes 14-21 days to ship. Make sure to check the listing on each item to determine the exact turnaround time assigned.

Cancellations and Refunds

Anchor & Heart Lacquer reserves the right to cancel any order, for any reason. If an order is cancelled a refund will be immediately issued. Customers may request an order cancellation of their own within 24 hours of their purchase before the item has shipped.

Are your polishes allergen free?

To the best of our knowledge, our products are nut and gluten free, however components/ingredients may be make in facilities where nut/gluten products are produced. Please proceed with caution. We are based in a smoke free, pet friendly environment. Though care is taken to keep pets and nail polish separate, complete allergen exposure cannot be prevented. Those with extreme pet allergies should consider this when placing an order.

Is nail polish safe for kids?

Children should always be closely supervised when using any type of nail polish. Nail polish is flammable. Do not use near heat or flame, use in well-ventilated area. Do not ingest.

Is your nail polish organic?

Anchor & Heart nail polish is free of 5 of the most harmful ingredients used in nail polish: DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor. With that said, nail polish must be composed of certain chemicals that allow them to harden and adhere to the nail bed. Organic nail polish does not exist because there are no known organic alternatives of these ingredients (polymers, plasticizers, etc).

My nail polish has separated/thick/etc. Is this normal?

Yes. While we work hard to maintain consistency, our polishes are hand blended in small batches so it is their nature to have very slight variances from batch to batch. Some glitter settling or color separation over time is normal. Place bottle upside down for 5 minutes, then gently roll between your hands to reincorporate ingredients. If a particular polish is too thick for your preference, please feel free to add several drops of quality 5-free thinner (but NEVER acetone).

What are your ingredients?

All of our polishes contain: Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Ethyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Triphenyl Phosphate, Propyl Acetate, n-Butyl Alcohol.

They may also contain any of the following: D&C Lakes (Black 2, Red 6, 7, 21, 22, 28, or 34, Orange 5, Yellow 7, 10, or 11, Violet 2, Ultramarines), FD&C Lakes (Red 40, Yellow 5 & 6, Blue 1), Titanium Dioxide, Rosin, Calcium Resinate, Tin Oxide, Manganese Violet, Iron Oxides, Chromium Oxide Green, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Polyethylene Terephalate, Aluminum, Synthetic Fluorophylogopite, Polyurethane 33, Polyester 11, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Benzoxazole, Bis (glycidoxyphenyl) propane / Bisaminomethyl-norbornane, Copolymer, Aluminum Hydroxide, Synthetic Mica, Silica, Spectraflair.
